Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division of UFC. She is the younger sister of her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sports journey with a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimity. Antonina later won a Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, and a gold medal in the year 2011, and the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the K-1 World Championships, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA career in 2002 with the victory over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She was victorious by second round TKO and then won the next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating a record of 3-1. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her superior striking abilities at the end of the fight through knees to the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi by split decision, after winning her first bout. Antonina has recovered from her loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. This earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, and beat Ariane. Antonina has recently been knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
